An independent permit and compliance service that treats your registrations the way you treat your truck: checked before it goes out, and maintained so it does not fail on the road.

Who we are

Think and Thank LLC is a privately owned trucking permit, registration and compliance service. We work with owner-operators, small fleets and growing motor carriers who would rather spend their time running freight than deciphering agency forms, and who want someone accountable for getting the paperwork right.

How we work

  1. We explain before we file. You should understand what each registration is for and why it applies to you. If something does not apply, we say so, even when it would have been an easy sale.
  2. Fees are quoted in writing first. Agency fees and our service fee are separated, so you can see what the government charges and what you are paying us for.
  3. Every filing is checked against your documents. Most rejections come from a name, address or weight that does not match another record. We check before we submit.
  4. You get copies of everything. Confirmation numbers, receipts and filed forms are sent to you and kept on file for the next time you need them.
  5. We track what is due next. Renewal and reporting dates go on a calendar, and we reach out before they arrive.

What we are not

Being clear about this protects you as much as it protects us.

  • Not a government agency. Think and Thank LLC is an independent, privately owned service provider. We are not a government agency and are not affiliated with FMCSA, USDOT, the IRS or any state agency. Most of what we file can be filed directly by you with the agency, at the agency’s fee. We charge for preparing, checking and submitting it and for keeping track of it afterward.
  • Not a law firm or a safety consultancy. We prepare filings and organize records. When a question needs an attorney or a safety professional, we tell you.
  • Not an insurance agency. We coordinate the filings FMCSA needs from your insurer, but coverage is placed by your agent.
  • Not a guarantee. Agencies decide approvals and processing times. We make sure your filing is complete and accurate, and we follow up until it is confirmed.
